A request from a friend
This is one of those magic moments that I wish everyone could experience. I’m extremely grateful and respectful to anyone who is happy to be painted this way. It’s such an honor and a privilege when someone is willing to pose nude for my art. It means something way beyond “your art is great”. But when someone, who you’ve admired for a while, comes to you without being asked and says ” could you paint me”….I can’t explain what a buzz that is. And when that person is a talented artist and they chose you?? It’s quite incredible. The emotions I had painting this, based on those reasons as well as it being a fantastic photo have really been the pinnacle of my artistic journey so far.
Painting really is a wonderful thing with such unique pleasures…I don’t know anything else that could feel like this…not for me anyway.
I need to be inspired when painting, and this piece was so inspiring, that it has a piece of my heart and soul within it.
I’m still in a daze.
